2025 Declaration of Independence
With gratitude for the original
The framework for this article is taken from the original Declaration of Independence, adapted to 2025 issues.
When in the course of a human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, a separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that All People are born equal, endowed at birth with certain unalienable rights, among these being Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right and duty of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, dictates that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce the People to absolute Despotism, it is their right, their duty, to throw off such rule, and to provide new guards for their future security.
Such has been the patient sufferance of the American people, and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their systems of government.
The history of Donald John Trump is one of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over America. To prove this, let these facts be submitted to a candid world.
He has refused to follow Laws of the Nation and Norms of the Office, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has defamed, extorted, and abandoned valued national Allies while embracing national adversaries with stated missions of harming the nation and her People.
He has destroyed America’s standing as a world leader in thought, deed, and trust.
He has, unilaterally, and without consent, dismantled systems of social support and replaced them with systems of oppression.
He has relinquished control of the federal government to an unelected foreigner and has provided unfettered access to the personal identification information of countless Americans.
He has elevated unqualified persons to positions of power, not based on ability, but based on fealty to himself.
He has dismantled systems of food and medical supply to the nation and the world.
He has no commitment to truth or integrity, jeopardizing the Safety and Security of the People. His lies, misinformation, and incompetence led to the death of hundreds of thousands in the first administration.
He has used the Office for personal gain at the expense of the People.
He has refused to comply with the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution and continues to enrich himself through his position.
He has devalued the People’s White House as a place of power, using it as a place to sell cars, beans, fake money, sneakers, guitars, and other worthless slag in violation of the Hatch act.
He has caused for the encampment and deportation of Foreign Nationals without due legal process.
He has used endless Executive Orders to dissolve the co-equality in government branches to be replaced with a Monarchy.
He has systematically destroyed financial markets to imperil the People.
He has begun to destroy the Department of Education to ensure that the People remain ill-educated.
He has violated the First Amendment rights of the People to gather, protest, and speak out.
He has released hundreds of convicted criminals from prisons and committed to imprisoning any who do not bend the knee of fealty.
He has violated his Oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the People.

We, therefore, as American citizens, appealing to the nation and the world for correction of these grievances, do declare that we shall be unbound from one Donald John Trump and his MAGA cult by whatever means necessary, and have full power to govern ourselves, wage war, create peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and return all of America to the unburdened ideals of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
To this end we pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

I'm becoming more pleased with the way things are NOT going. It has forced folks who "have no interest in politics" to actually engage with the process and hopefully learn a little something about what is at stake when the Government, for lack of a better term, goes to shit and is ruled by a complete incompetent .
If "the people" at least learn a little about any aspect of the way our Government works that they were ignorant about prior to this ridiculous shit show it may be worth it.
We'll see.
