You’re far more patient and tolerant of those people than I am. I am focusing on my life now because I don’t have the time to teach basic civics to people who don’t want to hear it. I’m even more critical of Democrats because I’ve watched this same pattern of only winning when Republicans screw things up. Democrats can’t win the rest of the time because they lack backbones. Never play nice with bullies.

Keep your sanity, my friend ☮️✌️

Thank you for reading sir. My sanity is definitely hanging on by a thread, but one foot in front of the other, as they say.

Regarding the Dems, I really do wish they were more aggressive to match the energy of the opposition. But I don't want to see them fall back to the dirty trickery and opportunistic hedonism of the other party either.

If dirty tricks are what it takes to win in an outdated (electoral college) system, then I want them to punch republicans so hard that their mommas and daddies feel the pain.

I feel you, I truly do. The current GOP has tossed aside norms, ethics, and IMO, the Constitution (see SCOTUS ruling that Trump is King). To put it bluntly, they cheat. (I'll never believe this election was legit, sorry.)

I, too, want Dems to fight fiercely (drop the butter knife and pick up a flame thrower). But can Dems battle within legal and ethical boundaries when we're up against opposition that has tossed all rulebooks and care not a wit about their fellow human (or animal) beings?

Point to ponder: If our side also gives up on ethics and civility, how will we as a nation ever find our way back?

I don't believe we need to stoop to that level to get the upper hand. The entire movement is based on mental gymnastics and manipulation and that's a game that can go both ways. The dangerous part of opening someone's brain to suggestion, once it's open, someone else can fuck with it also.

The election was legit according to the existing rules. That needs to change. 1 person , 1 vote. Majority wins.

If Democrats don’t fight, the nation is already lost 😔

Sadly, they "know not". I will tell you though that asking a former Military Member if they think Pete Hegseth is a good pick to head the Department of Defense will result in a resounding "NO".

I then ask, coyly, "who would you think would be a good pick, I'm not military and not sure who I'd want to lead me, but I always though Lloyd Austin seemed like a very qualified and reasonable pick". Do NOT argue, just ask, they will eventually come to their own conclusions. Trust me!

The voice of reason in a sea of insanity. However, I’m not above wishing the MAGA cult worse off in the coming years than those of us who voted for calm instead of chaos.

Yes of course we're supposed to be above the nastiness, lies, filth, degradation etc. of all those maggotites. However, in order to win a battle or just to survive, we must know the enemy and be prepared, else we lose. Wait until the all the crap floating around and coming from the mouth of the orangeman actually occurs. Will his acolytes still worship at his feet? Probably. They will rationalize everything he does. Just sad!

And just so you know, one of my favorite bands - Rage against the Machine. 🎸🥁🎤

I'm not suggesting we forgive anything that they do, but rather to appeal to those who we are otherwise close to in an effort to bridge the divide whenever possible to fight the lies, the hate, and the division.
